I beseech you. I beg you. Please tell your telemarketers to stop calling my cell phone. I have never gotten your paper and for that matter I have never gotten ANY newspaper so it is with utter amazement that I get not one, not two, but three calls a week to my cell phone from the San Jose Mercury News asking if I would like to get a free subscription.

I am polite and I ask each time to be taken off of you calling list and yet each week there are more calls. I have created a special contact in my cell phone to add to the growing list of blocked numbers related to your telemarketing staff. Each time I do not answer they leave me a 3 second empty voice mail that I must delete.

I realize that you want people to subscribe to your paper, but I don’t think you will get many subscriptions by phoning people over and over until they submit.
